Interesting Fact: Portugal established itself as a nation in the 1100's and it's reach and dominion spread far and wide during the 15th century with it's seafaring exploits. Portugal's empire came to and end in the 1970's when it relinquished control of it's colonies including Angola and Mozambique. Macao was the last to go in 1999 when China resumed control.
