Valencia lends it's name to the Region, Province and the City.
The autonomous region of Valencia otherwise known as the Valencian Community comprises the three provinces of Castellon, Valencia and Alicante. The Community is bordered on the east and north by Murcia and Albacete, and Cuenca, of the Castilla la Mancha Region. To the north lies Teruel of the Aragon Region and in the east Tarragona of Catalonia. The Costa Blanca and Costa Azahar form the mediterranean coastline.
The country is mainly mountainous, with most of the population on the coastal plain. Oranges, Lemons other fruit, vegetables, rice, olive oil, and wine are the produce of Valencia. The tributaries of the River Turia once surrounded the Plaza de la Virgen which is the centre of old Valencia.
